Mark’s Boss Treats Him Like the Office Doormat
Mark was never the cool guy in high school or college, given that he was overweight, wore nerdy glasses, and wasn’t very athletic. Things didn’t change much for him at the office either since coworkers who were hired at the same time were treated better.
On several occasions, he was forced to fetch coffee for these workers while they had important meetings with the boss, Mr. Brovey.
While this was embarrassing, the final straw for Mark occurred when he was supposed to spend a weekend at his friend’s condo in South Beach.
But instead of enjoying the sun, sand, and hot women in Miami, Mr. Brovey forced him to process files all weekend that any low-level employee could’ve done. Meanwhile, his boss and coworkers had a fun weekend at the beach.
Fed up with being treated like a second-rate employee, Mark vowed to make a change and start getting the respect that he wanted.
